History trip to Kenilworth Castle - 10/06/08

In June 58 girls from Pipers were able to visit the spectacular site of Kenilworth Castle in Warwickshire. Kenilworth has links to some major historical figures, most famously Robert Dudley and Queen Elizabeth I.

Creative and talented Art and Textiles students from Pipers Corner School demonstrated their skills at the launch of an exhibition of their work this week. The Cottesloe Centre became a gallery bursting with artistic creations which really impressed the family and friends attending the opening.

Whole School Service - 27/06/08

The first contemporary whole school service took place this morning. Thankfully the sun was shining which enabled us to hold the service outside on the lawn and terrace. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to come and share together as a whole school community as we near the end of the academic year.

Pre-Prep Go to the Zoo - 25/06/08

Pipers Pre-Prep girls went on an exciting African Safari during a recent school trip to London Zoo. Some animals tested the girls' powers of observation as they were hiding in their houses or camouflaged in their surroundings but they did manage to see lots of different species. Particular favourites were the giraffes with their long eyelashes and graceful movements.

We were delighted to welcome Mrs Valerie Stattersfield back to Pipers Corner School on Tuesday 17 June. A specially commissioned portrait to commemorate her tenure and achievements as Headmistress was unveiled by the Countess of Buckinghamshire and will hang in the school library.

Pipers Trip to Malaga - 24/05/08 to 31/05/08

A group of Pipers girls had the chance to improve their Spanish skills over the half term holidays. Staying with Spanish families and studying at the "Malaga Plus" language school each morning, the girls had plenty of opportunities to get speaking and practising the language.

A group of Lower Sixth Form girls enjoyed a lively debate with boys from Harrow School on Wednesday 30 April. The motion was "This House Supports Polygamy" and it certainly raised a great deal of ethical issues on both sides of the argument.
